History

The Owner Duncan McNeel started McNeel Construction in September of 2011, but his construction experience didn’t start there. His grandfather Harry “Hap” McNeel started McNeel Builders Inc in 1969 building pre-engineered metal buildings and passed that company onto his children. Duncan grew up around construction following his father around and was even put to work in the summers to earn a little bit of pocket money. 

After graduating from the University of Georgia, Duncan went to work with Hardin Construction where he learned and executed a vast array of building methods and practices. While working at Hardin Duncan pursued his masters in construction management at Southern Polytechnic State University where he graduated in 2008. After Hardin Construction he started working for the family business at McNeel Builders before deciding to branch off on his own with McNeel Construction in 2011. 

Duncan married in 2007 and has three beautiful children. He enjoys hunting, hiking, golf, and a multitude of other outdoor activities.
